Merry Christmas Eve!
We exchanged gifts with Grandma G and Grandpa Marv....and the boys loved their toys and books
On Christmas morning we had breakfast with the Grandparents and then we took a drive south into the Salt Lake Valley...oh how we love you Salt Lake! And we miss all of you except your pollution!

What a beautiful thing to go and be with my daughter on Christmas Day. I miss her. {sigh}
Then we drove up to the other grandparents...gave them our gift and hung out with them and some of Brent's other siblings for a few hours. Lots of fun! Love them all.

The next day we drove back up into SLC and went to church with Brent's awesome sister Liz and her cool husband! And then we took a walk through a light snow in City Creek Canyon:
It was a real treat for the boys, who were begging for snow!

Next stop, the beautiful and lovely Temple Square of Salt Lake! We can't get enough of this place...our kids love it; we love it! The spirit is so sweet and pure in this beautiful place:

Yep...we're so happy to be an eternal family.

I just can't believe how big these cousins are getting...gosh, you leave for 3 years and they grow up on you! And oh! We missed the cousin families that couldn't be there because of sickness and distance! Joshua and Toby mentioned the missing cousins by name...wishing there were there too. We hope to see everyone next time!

Notice that Ollie is kinda sitting up by himself in the pictures on the left.
And notice Ollie's turtle lip in the bottom right picture. He gets that from me. Hehe!
We were able to squeeze in dinner with my mom one last night and then we drove home the next day. We were praying for good roads! We had the most delightful drive over the blizzardy mountains in eastern Oregon. Thankfully our new car has all wheel drive and we had chains for all four wheels! It was like riding in a snow cat. We were truly blessed with safety.
I am so glad that we had a cheater Christmas in Oregon and had a different kind of Christmas without many gifts, but surrounded by people we love...and blessed with many gifts of the spirit. Cheater Christmas just might be our new family tradition!
