Christmas catch-up

Some of the things we did this December to celebrate the season!

Making gingerbread houses:
This has to be Toby's favorite Christmastime activity.  He has been asking to make, roll out gingerbread cookies all year!  We did several batches of cookies this year to take to neighbors and friends and Toby got to be quite the expert.  I make templates for our houses with paper grocery bags and cut around them with a butter knife.

The boys were mostly excited for all the candy!  But they had fun decorating the house too.
I increased the baking temperature this year from 350 to 375, and voila!...our gingerbread houses did not cave in on us this year.

A visit with Santa Clause?:
Our church ward had a fun Poler Express Christmas party!  I think that the boys refuse to stop believing in Santa Clause, although they are certain that he can't come to every party in the world.

Christmas Ships:
This is SO Portland...

The Christmas Fantasy Trail:
This came highly recommended by many locals.  It was fun for the kids...

Fake snow made out of soap suds (it's what we resort to around here).

Playing Santa:
One of the most fun parts of being a parent...

Auntie Heather visited from NYC!:
And it was lots of fun for us to have her with us on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning...

A young, single personal trainer with lots of moxie!
