7/1:
We picked all of these strawberries {and more} from the backyard of our old house! It was the first year that we got a big enough harvest of fruit to make jam with. We didn't have to pay to go pick someone else's strawberries! That is the goal in our gardening...to grow enough produce every season to can for our food storage. Too bad now that our old house is FINALLY producing enough strawberries, raspberries, peaches and apples to can {after four years of working on the garden there} we had to move! I feel certain that there is a bigger and better garden in our future though!
7/26:
We enjoy the view from our new house. It's up, up above the river, and even though we're not THAT close...we can see boats from our front windows and trains passing by on the tracks right next to the river.
on this day, we spotted a tug boat pushing a barge!
20x zoom!
7/29:
Brothy {bruvie} time:
Joshua and Toby and Ollie...they all love being brothies {except when they're ANNOYING each other}. On this day, I enjoyed capturing the way that Joshua loves Oliver {and Oliver, Joshua}.
7/30: Ollie eating:
I wanted to remember how much Oliver LOVEs to eat solid foods. My other kids would not have much to do with food until after they were 1, but Ollie has enjoyed them from 6 months. Avocado, bread, yogurt, scrambled eggs, beans and brown rice, cheese, "cookies", vegetable juice, meats, and basically anything we are eating that can be gummed or mashed enough for him to swallow.
Oooo...I could just eat HIM up! He's so cute.
Andaluz Potluck, raspberry jam:
DIG THAT SCENE!
I love seeing all the cute babies and kids from year to year growing older, interacting with lots of other crunchy Portland families...babywearing, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, natural childbirthing, etc. families.
Toby and his friend Carter both wanted dragons painted on their faces! COOL!
Kaden and Toby (yes, our friends the Mansius family are also an Andaluz family)
Making raspberry jam with the berries from our old house, while cute baby watches from his high chair:

Sooooooo jealous of your berry-ness up there in Oregon! Every year around August I think "We should just drive up to visit Brent and Kate and go pick a TON of berries at a farm and bring them home to freeze. But we never do...boo hoo.
The Andaluz potluck looks fun....plank salmon, yum!
